HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I hope everyone remembered to wish their mom a Happy Mother's Day!!

Deerhunter & Nine Inch Nails? AntiMusic reports: No one goes to a Nine Inch Nails concert to see the support act (unless the lead singer happens to named Maynard), but just in case you need that little extra push over the cliff to convince you to head and out and see Trent and boys on their summer tour of North America, they have announced the laundry list of bands that will joining them on the outing. Crystal Castles will kick off the tour and play through Aug 2nd. NIN will make a quick detour and play Lollapalooza, but then will be joined by Deerhunter from Aug 5th - 13th, A Place To Bury Strangers join-up on the 15th for a four date run. Does It Offend You, Yeah? will play from Aug 22 - 29th. Then on Sep 2nd Deerhunter will jump back on the tour and ride it out until the end, which right now looks like it will end with a newly announced date at The Forum in Inglewood, CA on September 6th.
We're also supposed to be on the look out for a very special announcement from the band on Monday (May 5th). We'll let you know what it is as soon we know.

Broken Machines' album is close to being done. They've got 6 songs mixed and ready for mastering (which shouldn't take too long). They've got another 6 that have been primed for mixing, so those songs should move along a little quicker. For some of you, the release of the album, when it happens, will be long overdue. LONG OVERDUE. They anticipate it should be done by the end of the summer... that’s packaging, artwork, all that fancy stuff. Now, the big news. Broken Machines have been competing in a 5-Round battle of the bands hosted by Emergenza. They've competed once before but didn't make it past Round 2. They are going to ROUND 3!!! About the performance time, they won't know the exact time they go on stage until the day of the show. The reason for this is that the promoters/organizers of the event want to give all the bands an opportunity to play to fans that other bands brought to the show.

Former Island Records rekording artists, written up in Rolling Stone, aired on MTV.......The 77s are booking a short reunion tour and Coming to ATLANTA! This show iz going to sell out as this is the furthest SOUTH they are taking this show. Do not miss this! Green Bracelet to open.

We Are Kings have been busy lately rekording at spotlight studios with producer Jason Andrews and are finally getting things back together and on the road. There ae rumors about them breaking up But I am assured that they are just rumors. They tell me they've been through messes like this before and although they are STILL looking for a bassist it won't stop them from continuing.

Ann Bolynn have a guitarist. Chris Meyers, formally of Faith In Arms, has joined the fold. They tell me they have been writing like crazy and expect have a new album out soon. But...they are still are not ready to plays shows yet.

There's been a lot of talk and questions about the
American Bad Ass Bar in Mooresville, NC. A kall waz made to the NC ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) agent responsible for Mooresville and we spoke to the city manager and sheriffs dept.The local authorities knew nothing about such a bar being opened...which iz impossible for a legitimate business...gotta have the right permits and approvals.The ABC board has no license, or application, for American Bad ASS or Jess Edwards (or Kennedy)? No license=no liquor=no bar.Sorry to be the bearer of shitty newz.

Kenotia joinz a new family! Kenotia iz very happy to announce that tehy got new management! They are now working with one moment management group out of cali. This iz some exciting news and they are very happy to be working with some great new people!

Haloscript on Project 9-6-1 all week. 1 song every night at 10pm with a Big announcement!!

The Status posted the 4th song from their EP " don' t wanna lose you now" last week so go check it out and let them know what you think! And...they posted a new demo of a song called "Found Out I'm Alive" on ben's myspace page here. LASTLY... they are going into the studio next week to begin demoing some 20 or so
new songs to get ready for doing an album hopfully this summer.
